didn't this thing do like 13.9 in the 1/4? m3 does 13.2

My awsome mustang!   I used to own a challenger but it parked like a tank and I hated that.

 

 

Several sources seem to have the '95 Supra TT running 13.5s 1/4 mile times.

Depends on the year and source but the e46 m3 looks to run 13.1s to 13.6s; they seem to be fairly matched.

Just a little more boost and that Supra will be right quick indeed.

Well, it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...

Quarter mile times for the stock supra turbo range in the 13s, yep.

It is pretty remarkable how easily the 2jz-gte gains 100hp. Turn the boost from 14 to 17psi and add larger diameter exhaust piping and you're at 400+.

A stock Surpa turbo will eat a 346 m3 off the line.  Hard to find stock Supras tho

So what you're saying is the e46 m3 will reel the supra in like it was going backwards since it finishes over a half second faster?

Weirdly, the e46 has quite a better 0-60. It seems the supra begins catching up at the top end.

Yeah I'd give the M3 the win on a 0-60 run based on the numbers and because the reliance on boost inherently means later gains. Supras made their name as a top end car. Also the lower 0-60 Supra times are likely the automatic trannies. The 6 speed is a tougher car to launch.

FWIW I've got nothing but love for the e46 M3. May be one of the best sounding cars on the road (from the interior, at least).

blitz kit back in the day for the supra was off the hook

Is this where the reformed riceboys congregate? I had a '93 MR2 turbo with Greddy/Trust parts, Racing Hart wheels and a custom audio system replacing the rear shelf with two 10" subwoofers in a box right behind my head...it was so stupid ( not to mention a rolling SoCal cliche) but still good times

Racing Hart wheels are so Fast and Furious <3. Should have put a PS2 in the car for real turn of the century tuning regrets.

HD, the Supra's a gorgeous car. I don't care what it can and can't beat -- it, as itself is a really wonderful, high performing car. Enjoy it.
