For some reason I thought it was the 964s that had eyes that were more relaxed and less "buggy" but that was the 993. I've actually never driven either car. The only 911s I have driven were a restored 1971, a 1980 SC and an 85 Carrera and they were all tailhappy SOBs. Never got to really flog the Carrera but I loved it. I went through a divorce in the late 90s and was ready to ditch my 2 year old safe "family car" for an older Carrera or M6. I figured I could have fit a carseat in either car and I would have been fine. Well meaning family and friends talked me out of both purchases by suggesting that I was going through an early midlife crisis. I should not have listened.
Ok a 964 is also acceptable
FYI: That Singer is beautiful!!! But $300k base price? Maybe an older car (Carrera or a Carrera 2) with those bi-xenon Hellas, the Ohlins suspension and soundproofing would be a decent start.
