Cars We Drive! - Page 545

I'm gonna buy a prius, convert the second electric motor into diesel and then fit a third coal-fired motor to drive the electric windows.

If that kit were a factory option, I swear every male Prius driver ticks the box. They are insane. Every one blasts by me doing 95 as if to prove they're still a man. Just want to tell them dude, I get it, the reason I'm not wot all day every day is because I cringe seeing 12 mpg too.

Girl wants a Fiat badly, so I rented a Cabrio for a drive down to NYC last summer. What a blast! Highway, back roads, city, took all in stride. Was surprised. Another surprise, the auto is better than stick! And the thing sips gas. Insane.

I'm not giving up the BMW, but will rent again.

I can well believe that. I was just kidding (although my internal monologue would certainly say asshole when I'm following an SUV in traffic. They're not as bad as vans though. They suck. At least SUVs tend to keep up with stuff.)

if/when we due move to a more car friendly place i'm getting an audi s6 though. fuck it. mwink[1].gif actually if I can find an older s6 avant then I'll go that route. the wife wants a huge suv.

this will come back and bit me in the ass.............

we have the Q7 and my wife loves it. No issues (a minor battery/lights issue), she mostly does town driving and its the supermarket/costco/kids games/school transportation vehicle. I have an A7 and I love it, its still kinda new so don't want to go nuts singing its praises but I still have my old A6, an '04 I think, over 110K miles and the biggest bill I've had on it was the alternator (about $800) and some front arm thingy (about $800 also I think). I drive that everyday, in all weather, to commute. It still drives great. I can't see getting anything other than Audi going forward as my a-hole is still recovering from being a 4-5 year Land Rover owner.

Nah, I can honestly say it's one of those things I know would be long term good for us...but not sure I can live through the medium term to do it.
