Anyone holding their breath for one of these?

As long as I can remember, new benz designs take a while to grow on me......but they always do and the older ones then look out of date. They are usually a little ahead of the curve IMHO.

The other day at DFW airport, I was waiting for my car service and, without my glasses I saw what I thought was an S Class and started toward the curb. As it approached, and then passed me, I put my glasses on and realized it was a Hyundai. blush.gif

I just test drove a 2013 Audi S4 and it's an amazing machine. I don't understand how a bmw 335 interior is even in the same class as that. Even if you are comparing a 2010 audi to a 2010 bmw.

This may be my next car. Easy to mod slightly to outperform most others in this price range.

this is bizarre and maybe i'm just drinking the kool-aid but i kind of like how they went off the deep end with the sportback shape that's so popular (so hot right now), the front and rear end will probably get toned down from the extreme concept shapes but this would be a very roomy greenhouse for a car this size.

on a similar note, saw an SLS AMG when I was in Montreal a few weeks back, and just gawked. gorgeous.

Saw an SLS, which was black on black. Great looking car. Was at the dealership today and they had a SLR McLaren sitting outside. That is still a cool looking car and has somewhat of a scarcity value as far as exotics go. According to my service rep, wildly expensive to maintain.

My local dealer currently has a silver SLS in the showroom. Gorgeous.

Came back to my hotel and saw an SLR on HRE's. That is still an amazing MB, still worth buying IMO. Can't say that about a lot of recent but not new MB's.

My friend bought one of the first in the US and got delivery from techs at McLaren. Pretty cool experience. The door sill is massive, very hard to get in at out of for a taller guy, but a mean car. They also had a C63 Black, very nice looking car. My GL needed new struts after 20K, not sure what thtat is about, but have a new ML350. It drives much softer than the GL, not as responsive. Interior upgrades are night and day though.

is it me or does mercedes not seem like a 'supercar' brand?  i know they make cars that are half a mil, but i just associate them with making luxury vehicles for the masses.  like when i tell my friends, "that mercedes costs $200k," they never believe me.
