Love the shift knob, no homo! (and the fact that she drives stick)

Have a chance to buy a 2008 BMW 760LI with 22k miles on it for 31k. Having a hard time not buying it.

it was either that or a 2009 Boxter S. It came down to the fact that the Porsche was quite a bit more expensive and she just doesn't give enough of a shit about cars to pay up.

Wow, what a beast.

It's crazy how fast those 7 series depreciate.

You can get an E60 M5 in decent condition for 30-40K now, too.

I'm sorely tempted haha.

A little research shows 08 was the year of the model change. Makes sense now. Still, that V12 would be nice. Huge car that apparently does an almost effortless 0-60 in well under six seconds.

It sounds fantastic to.

The 760 goes for the same as a 535d here, the only thing that depreciates as fast is Alfa Romeo's

yes, those high end cars drop drastically once out of warranty. saw an 08 S550 with the designo package for 40k with only 30km on it. id never buy it because it would be a bitch on maintenance

This is the thing, maintenance. You don't want it after the warranty ends because the maintenance issues will creep up on you with oil leaks being the biggest problem. It's nothing to have a 5-figure repair on one of these, and I'm not kidding. Now when the cars are in top-notch condition, they're a dream to drive with an engine hum/whine that's intoxicating.

yeah that's what steered me away. I mean, as much as I want to drive an S-class, I've seen the horrors my buddy has gone through with his. He has the previous generation (03 s500) and every little thing is such a huge bill. I remember he once told me how much his brakes cost for parts and labour and it was then that I decided that if I am going to buy an S-class it will surely have to be under warranty. The only reason he keeps the car is because it was his father's first purchase once he "made it" and now that his father has passed, he cannot just give up the car.

It's just a shift knob, man... a very shiny long dark brown shift knob with good girth and a nicely belled end...

Porsche 918 testing at the Ring. I like that Porsche went with a disguise cover that has historical allusions instead of the usual psychedelic swirly bits.

That's just mean to upload a picture like that :(

Seems like a great deal, I just looked around, and it's hard to find them for less than $50k and probably with more miles.
