Thanks! It has been about what I expected, no real surprises. I've cut the bills in half the last few years by no longer using the dealership for service and repairs. The major was painfully expensive but I knew it was coming and the car drives like it is new now.

Is there a reason you stick with the 355, and not a newer 360 or 430?

The 355 in my mind represents the last of the simpler/smaller Ferraris, the cars i lusted after as a kid. I'm not a fan of the 430, but I would love to have nice 6 speed 360 at some point. I'm not sure I could part with the 355 even if I did, and two Ferraris is more headaches than I can handle. I struggle to drive the 355 at least 1-2 times per week, and you need to drive these cars frequently to keep them in operating condition. I love the 458 as well, but dear lord they have gotten expensive. The car I've been most tempted by lately is a black 550.

I remember dreaming about the F355 as a kid as well and would love to have a convertible for the summer. I remember reading a guest contribution on a blog comparing a F355 spyder and a Porsche of that same era. The Ferrari seemed like a lot of compromises for a lot more pleasure... and that V8 sound. I guess you gotta have both. In Europe they go for around 50-60k€.

Here is the link, interesting reading for any car fan: http://motoringconbrio.com/2012/03/09/guest-contributor-oscar-martinez-on-driving-the-ferrari-f355-spider-part-1-of-2/

Oh and a nice video

Get rid of the 355? No way that shit is an iconic ferrari fuck the new shit.

Have always loved the 355 it is the perfect balance between old and new. They sound incredible too.

I'm going for Audi A5 3,0 Tdi Tiptronic Sportback year 2010. Testdrove it today and the A7, A7 looks def nicer. But driving them feels almost the same. I only need a car that can takes me to work so the A5 will work just fine :)

And that VW is awesome!

of all the cars produced by the house of Enzo, the F355 is by far my favorite. even though the 458 Italia is the best

how did you get your photo to come out like that? the blue of the sky is breathtaking and it sets off the blue of the car (I'm sure that wasn't an accident)
You just need a clear blue sky I think. I took this pic when I hiked Mt. Baldy last month and I think it turned out pretty good (color-wise), a little tweak via PS should make it pop even more. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

^ yeah

just basic tweaking (levels, contrast) in photoshop usually gets the desired effect.

Yep. I saw one on the road a couple of months back here in Fort Worth, and thought "damn that's a beautiful car...I wonder what it would go for these days?" Was astonished to learn that the prices are just as high as the day they came out.

Porsche 993's are holding their value too and seem to be well on their way to collectible status.

^993 are definitely collectible, they go for at least 30k€.
