Most current Audi models are not good looking at all, the previous generation was a lot better looking.

I would go BMW or Merc depending on what engine I wanted.

normal as in not the AMG? is the only other option the 550 i think? twin turbo v-8 (402 ho 453 ftlbs) to the A7s supercharged V6 (310hp, 325 ft lb) so MB wins that match; but in turn A7 gets better milage, depends on your priorities. Each is filled to the gills with new electronics i won't even pretend to know about. At that level of new luxury the only way to decide is to take them both out and feel out the controls and dynamics. 

 

gran coupe is very good looking, MB has some strange lines but is never a bad choice but I have a weakness for Audi so i'd probably default that way

We get more engines.

There's a CLS 350cdi, 350 cdi 4 motion and a 350 bluemotion.

The BMW comes with a 40d engine, the same as 535d, X5 40D, 740d etc.

I believe the A7 comes with 2.0tdi, 3.0tdi and 3.0 ttdi.

No not AMG. I have the BMW 745 now, year 2005. Something wrong with the engine and it would cost me around $3000 to fix. So Audi was willing to take it in + some cash for the A5 or A7. And from friends who has Audi they are very happy with the service and their cars. 

 

But it's a huge price diffrence between A7 and A5 like $20 000, so I dont know really where I stand on this... Hard decision but i'm not after some other brand really. I have decided for Audi but what model i'm not sure yet.

I wish that A5 sedan was available in states, tough choice, a little sportier or a little classier.

I drive a 2008 passat which I believe is about the same size as the a5 sedan, comfortable with four adults and I'm 6'1", a7 is bigger but comes off as more elegant and Luxe I think

in fairness to the 1M, it looks like that's the way the M cars are headed - the M version being an up jumped version of the turbo motor in the non-M car.

which means that I [jv] got the last true M-engined car with the e90M [/jv] devil.gif

Funny, just yesterday I saw my very first 1M. I was really impressed --- it was a great looking car; really looked like it went like stink. I've been counting M3s since I got down here in Arlington (about 40 days), and I had just seen M3 # 100, a beautiful 2011 Interlagos with black rims. It was pretty sweet, but the 1M was really cool and far less common.

I love Jags, and have an '86 XJ-S myself. Your XJ 12 is a beautiful, beautiful car. Not a fan of engine swaps though--especially when the original is the V-12-- but you, know, some of us are like that. Enjoy all the same.

my wheels were turned so its actually upside down, but yeah i love it, its so fucking cool happy.gif

and the swap was already done, since like 2004 i believe so yeah, jaguar engines were garbage. smile.gif
