ahh, i see. very true about the price and i'm sure it's amazing to drive.

After seeing several 458's in person, I have to admit that they're far more gorgeous and striking indeed than the pictures allude.

Leaps and bounds better looking than the 430. Though I think I prefer the 430 to the 360.

I'm not far from Ferrari of Manhattan, so I see them frequently. 458 is gorgeous.

I'd prefer a 430 over a 360 as well - I haven't driven a 360, but I hear they can be a bit tricky, while the 430 is super easy to drive and drive fast.

430 doesn't look good at all though. I'd say the rear of the 360 looks better and the front... I don't know I remember seeing an ok kit but I can't remember who made it, Novitec, Rennsport or something like that.

Edit: nah it's just the F430 Scuderia. I quite like the front. Racing stripes are ridiculous though.

the 430 is a very cool car but when i look at it, i can't help but see the 360 base. of course the thing has been mechanically improved but it does still share the doors, windows and cabin with the 360. also, the stock 430's lower front vents, though referenced from the 330 tri-lm testa rossa(i believe), just don't fit right on the car. the 430 scuderia's front bumber looks better, imo-a bit more squared off and not so round. i just think the lines are more natural on the 360. trying to redesign a car while retaining body panels is one hell of a challenge and i think they did a great job.

I quite like the 360 Scuderia as well, which design wise bears more of its roundness, and performance wise is probably better than stock 430. I don't know how they price though.

But mostly I just want a F355 spider with a manual gearbox to cruise around in the summer with the sound of the V8 echoing through the valley in the south of France where my grandparents live (they'd hate me if I drove a Ferrari though). i actually meant the 430 scuderia's bumper that i like better. 360 scuderia is badass!

f355 is definitely one of my favorites! i love that thing!!!

i hate to say it, but i'd take the 458 italia over a 599 gto, just from a styling standpoint. the 599 has way too much of an "american" sports car feel to it. it looks kinda like the yellow gold wearing, hairy chested brother of the c6 corvette. just proportionally too similar for me. don't get me wrong, the 599 gto is one of the most impressive beasts available, and i'd love to own one, but the 458 is pure sex. the best looking ferrari in quite some time, imo.
Gomestar, you were trying to say the 458 over the 599, right? cause the 430 is fucking ugly as shit. i'd take a 360 modena over a 430 any day(again styling-i'm a fucking car designer. what can i say, i'm shallow as shit!)
GreenFrog, that steering wheel is amazing, huh? that's my favorite thing about the interior of my m coupe- the beefy steering wheel. i don't know why all performance cars don't come with these thick rimmed steering wheels...it provides such a feel of confidence when pushing the hell out of your car.
that 6 interior actually looks kinda decent. bmw interiors, imo, are pretty poorly designed and executed but this one doesn't look too bad.
and Find Finn, the gran coupe...I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE THAT THING! SO BADASS!!!!

Ya man, the fitment of the wheels is exactly right too, unfortunately you can't tell from the side. I love the styling of the 599 regardless but I agree 360 over 430 which is just too bulky and high in the rear. My favorite car design wise is the stradale period though the added finishing on the lower bodywork just does it for me and gives a hard edge to the too-round cues on the regular 360. Funny I hated the italia for awhile but then I saw a white one on the 405 in fountain valley and immediately thought how impressive it looked. Where do you work? You can pm me if you want, that's pretty fucking cool.

I like the 430 the best; I like the 458 too but it's not an instant love like the 430 for me. The back treatment has too many disparate shapes and objects, it doesn't seem resolved. I hope something like a Scuderia/CS model resolves some of the back and front treatments.

they have a 458 challenge, though I don't think it's for sale to the public. Ferrari of Manhattan had one in their showroom for a while, that shit was loud.

dunno if i agree with you guys about the Gran Coupe....but then again i tend to have a bias against big cars that aren't SUV's.

in related BMW (fail) news, C&D is reporting that they are planning to build an M7 facepalm.gif

From what I read, an M7 isn't really for sure. BMW just trademarked a bunch of names and some is likely so no other car companies could use it. Here's a list of names they trademarked in the past 2 years.

It's the same size as a 5 series.

Why is a M7 fail, there's a lot of competition in that segment S8, S63, panemera, QP etc. so it makes sense unlike X6 and 5GT
