All black grill, reflector and painted the silver rod on the bottom grill black.
It's not something I'd ever consider doing, but I like it.

not a fan of blacked BMW grilles - started as a Hamann thing that went straight to ebay $39.99 grilles and DIY, and has never looked back...

Redneck chick? LOL

Love the new Z4, and love it even more blacked out.

Blacked out is not a good look.

To me, blacked out > chrome trim. Chrome trim just doesn't do it for me, that's why I hate the current direction Lexus and Acura is taking but Acura takes it to a whole new level, their chrome trims looks so cheap.

i love the blacked out look. IMO on luxury cars it looks more sophisticated and on sports cars it looks sleek and menacing at the same time. Especially on a car like the z4 thats all ready very sleek looking it would look great. . My vette is currently fully tinted, blacked out lights, de-badged, and black rims

I think it looks meaner blacked out but to each his own.

It does not look terribly bad, but to me it has a cheaper look to it. I do like the wheels, they look great.

I respectfully disagree with this. The murdered out look provides no contrast whatsoever, and makes the car look like a big black blob with no discerning features. Especially with rims, I find black rims pointless since you can't tell the design unless it catches the light in the right way, otherwise your $1000/pc rims just disappears into a black hole and looks no better than a spray-bombed set of $89 reps at a glance.

At the same time, overuse of chrome trim can be tacky but not as obviously so as blacked out trim. I'd like to see more use of brushed metal trim.
