Its based on the Q7, so they should be the sameish size.

Worth a call. ie if he's stuck I'd be a 50%discount possible buyer. KBB says his price is at least $5K too high as well.

That's a nice looking K5, but how did we get here with those asking prices? $15k is what, 50% more than its MSRP when it was new??!

You're not reading the ad correctly. "Runs good . Prize $14,900 ." There will be some gameshow style surprise prize.

Could buy a Q7 and an R8 for that price.

And get some class thrown in during the process for free.

Also, saw this creature for the first time this morning. I will say after MB's every car looks like it's melting phase, they've been redeeming themselves.

MB is having a tough time for the last few years and will continue to have a tough time. Due to some targeted EOs by Obama on CAFE only the cars they sell in the US count towards their CAFE numbers. This means they suddenly needed to develop a bunch of high mileage vehicles that will also unfortunately attract the riff-raff as the pricing will allow them to enter the MB line up. I think their dealers are going to have a problem keeping their established customers, paying multiples of the little sewing machine engine car MSRPs, happy when they have to also keep the average 35k millionaire and other similar types happy at the same dealership.

I think MB's real answer would be another brand to reap CAFE goodness from to apply against their flagship brand's lower average MPG.

I have seen several new MBZ models that I think are very good looking.

I have said the same thing before.  MB and to a lesser extend BMW have the same problem.  All other brands have ways of doing this - Audi is a part of VW, so they can count all the Jettas and Golfs with tiny engines and diesels.  Toyota and Honda have all those compacts and hybrids - same with the American brands.  The only thing American brands have to deal with are all the pickup trucks they sell.

Has anyone noticed that young, entry level professional Hispanic men seem to really like the VW sedans?
