Fair, but if nothing else, it'll give me a ride in the car to check it out and see if it's something I'm even interested in.

I guess I can take my time to learn and do things right. If the point is to have a learning experience then buying someone elses project results in a loss irf that opportunity and/or inheriting someone else's headache...

Could wring it out without getting arrested too.

His part choice and build seems solid.

If I was to go that body style, from that time period, it would be all about the Grand National.

Hah fair.

There's an autocross here in about 2 or so weeks that puts me just beyond exams!

TV is going to be disappointed in me. I can hear him now... "your lack of faith disturbs me..."

Autocross is a great way to learn. You don't need to hit up a track right away. Autocross teaches you the fundamentals and will get you off to a great start. The Miata me thinks would be perfect for it.

I remember my first time I was at Barber, there was this guy in a 458 and this old dude in a Miata lapped him - this is in a typical session which last 15-20 minutes.

The 458 guy was super nice and said to me afterwards 'I just had to justify this to my wife'. The couple were great, but having just gotten it, he was afraid to damage it.

Autocross is awesome because of cost, relatively little risk of damage, and you won't be going batshit fast so you can find a comfort zone to learn in.

Brings back high school memories.  The mom of a kid I went to school with had one of these back when they were new.

It's ugly and I could think of other car's I'd rather have for that money or less.  Your mall must be pretty fancy... the nicest mall in our region only gets Maseratis and Jags for display...although for Ramuman they do have a Tesla store.

I'm getting rid of the Tesla and dropping my McLaren plans. I want Aventador level class:

Boca Raton Town Center. They have a Tesla store too, its right next to the Apple Store and a stone's throw from The Art of Shaving. That little triangle of real estate should be the mini Mecca for hipsters

On 9/11 I was minutes away from going to the Hummer dealership 10 minutes down the road and "borrowing" a H1. My next stop would have been REI to get a shit ton of camping equipment, water purification tablets, spare gas cans and a generator.  A quick stop at sports authority for a couple rifles.  After that I was going to pick up the kid from daycare and head to the mountains of West Virginia via the backroads.  I saw Red Dawn so I was going to be prepared

In the end I just sat there in my boxers watching the news and reassuring friends and family that my contract at the Pentagon had gotten cancelled on 9/10 so I was technically unemployed.

I'm not offended by this - though I would never set foot in The Art of Shaving for their overpriced stuff. I do shave with a proper setup, but I source it from the nice supporters of Badger and Blade.
