Haha, love both of you.

I should've gotten the extended warranty. Maybe mom can still pay for it.

I love my P90D as a daily, but it's positively boring because of how well it puts down the torque. Amazing and fun car, but lacks soul.

Get a Viper.

Yeah - No. I'm not 50 years old going through a divorce. I'm old, but not that bad.

Or, just buy a decent performer to start with.

That awkward moment when you refer to an overpriced and reliable mod for an already fun platform and it's still cheaper and more reliable than your recs for less work for less money!

Get a manual R8 or Gallardo and do a RWD conversion.

Gallardo "Balboni" - manual RWD.  And a stripe, which probably makes it faster.

But the Camaro SS was cheaper, and I'm 44 and not ashamed!  I did think a new set of Michelins would last me longer than 2000 miles though...

The $500 conversion kit on an 04 is probably cheaper than buying a Balboni. Especially if its just for the track.

Or he could buy this.

This is Styleforum.  Recommending the cheap, practical option is generally considered bad form.

Erm. You mean that one where we all recommend fast and fun budget cars. And you buy the slowest one, that needs more than simple tweaks to make power? Then ask for recommendations to improve said slow car. Are told how they do it in the Mazda homeland. Ignore sound advice for a 2nd time. And start on with made in china bolt on turbo kits, not knowing the associated hidden costs and mods to make a N/A car turbo reliably? -injectors, ecu, fuel system, tuning costs, fabrication and exhaust costs?

You will be 6-7k deep into engine mods before you know it. My recs come out to about 3.5k. By the time you get to the cost of running turbo, the car would be a complete package.

If you think a Miata with a bolt on turbo and cheap clutch at 210hp, will feel and drive like a completely refined N/A miata at 150+hp?

Feel free to be the guinea pig. snork[1].gif
But then again, i suggested an sw20 mr2,mk3 supra, and a z32/z31 fairlady. They all have turbos.

It would seem mimo is not the only Pernicious Enabler in this thread.

This sub-forum is way worse than MC and 1k shoes and 5k suits. shog[1].gif

What Mac are you getting ramu? I feel like the 570s is what's going to be what pulls me away from the spell of Herr Preuninger...

I'm actually pretty open on anything from the MP4-12C to the 570.

The house is coming first, so the McLaren is semi-backburner, but not super backburner. I'm also investing in another business with a friend and another based on my grad school research, so I have to allocate my limited funds for the next few months.

I'll get there, but there is nothing wrong with the Andreas and your GT4 is gorgeous.

I will say this again. My love with McLaren is that they're so nice. I usually wear a t-shirt or a hoodie and sweatpants or jeans. With BMW, Adrian (my friend and CA from Atlanta) is just an awesome dude. With Tesla, they've just been full on class acts. Ferrari has been a total dick across every dealership I've been to - Atlanta, Dallas, and NoCal and SoCal.

McLaren and Porsche have been super awesome across every dealership I've been to, without being condescending dicks. No matter how unassuming I come in as.

It might be why Seinfeld and Leno don't have a Ferrari.
