A friend of mine has mentioned that the AMG 7 speed auto makes the car feel like a turbo because of the lag. Apparently automatics are the only option for AMGs because the torque is too high for any of the MB manuals.

The engine is glorious doe dass fo sure.

New C63 this isn't true. Not sure about the older models though. My car downshifts almost instantly when I drive in manual.

Installment #2 of "Cars We Saw" thread. I promise i don't hang around at dealerships all weekend, I needed to pick up a part lol8[1].gif

Weather permitting, I am planning to head out to C&C tomorrow so I'll have pics if I find anything interesting

So much better looking than the GT3.

You know people have a lot of money, when the Porsche dealership has an escalator.

:inlove:   Love the R !!!!  Definitely my favorite 911 offering in recent years!

Pretty cool. Definitely not "just another 911"!

Though if I headed into that stratosphere I'd still go vintage instead

Bonus: have some $ leftover for socks.

Well BMW comfort access strikes again. Wife says the car locked itself when she had her purse in passenger seat as she was walking around to grab our infant out of the back seat.

Unfortunately instead of calling me she called fire department and they used some sort of slim jim to pry open the driver door. There are some deep scratches on the painted metal inside the door but it's really only visible with the door open. There are some small chips in the plastic B pillar as well where they wedged their slim jim.

Of course had she called me I could have unlocked the car from my phone but she didn't know that was possible. As a silver lining, she told me she was very close to smashing the window with something so I guess this outcome is better than that.

Coincidence! When I took the M4 GTS pic yesterday I was at the dealer telling them to disable comfort access. Fuck that shit - second worst feature of recent autos (worst is the stupid stay in your lane steering)

@ramuman thanks brah for the offer, may take you up on it. I have a friend with an MS and another with an MX and I talk to them often about their Tesla ownership experiences. In addition to range concerns, Indiana is not a Tesla friendly state. Legislation prohibits selling the car in the state resulting in no sales or service centers, only a showroom. Have to purchase out of state or online and then pick up and service the car out of state, for me Cinncinati would be the closest for sales and service nearly 2 hrs away.

@Greenfrog Sup brah. Haven't seen you post any pull-ups lately. confused.gif

@Hroi I'm with you on hating the lane keeping assist feature. I find it to be utterly annoying with no usefulness at all.

Car looks great but is heavy as fuck at 4300 lbs. AMG needs to start slimming down some of their cars.

Nice vintage choice.  I got to drive one a few times many years ago, and its one hell of an experience.

So apparently they're asking a million dollars for the 911R facepalm.gif
