Cars We Drive! - Page 1655

Why does this Chiron have so much trouble climbing up this truck bed? It seems like the clutch is slipping. Gave me such anxiety watching the driver give so much gas and barely have the car move forward.

Overall, I like the looks of this car, but I don't like the wheels for it.  They look like they belong on something more modern. I'd rather have wheels that looked more period correct (although, maybe in a more modern size).   Also the stance looks odd over the rear wheel arch (not sure if its just the angle of the photo) or due to the size of the wheels, or because someone has already modded the suspension.

Definitely, something to drive before you buy...especially if you have never driven a car of that vintage.

Thanks Dino. Yep just browsing for now but plan on something by May. I agree on the wheels: on the fence mehself. A lil too modern. I got an email in to the guy inquiring what hp/torque numbers his "modifications" may have achieved.

And boys: three on the floor while blaring four on the floor! ..and Zeppelin. :P

Resale/consignment shops.- 50/70% off retail leaves more money for Beer and car parts.
(And more cars?)
Haha, the boss can pay retail on the shop tools. What you saw in that kit is only half my collection.

Praying for HRoi's cars' safety so they don't get flooded from the hurricane.

Here ya go Vadmenz.

I love this thing. Less showy than the 'slade while the sidewall allows for tons of curb jumping if you're hemmed in anywhere. Illegal level tinted so I can pretend I am a badass while two car seats are actually in back happy.gif Everyone I know bitched three years ago when I made this my fam vehicle choice: gas guzzler etc. Then oil fell off a cliff smile.gif Even wifey after much complaining about size, dtown parking blah blah has now come over to the dark side: insane height, visibility and storage. Sidenote: stand strong and force the woman into a fam vehicle you enjoy too. Even if you'll only use it 3 times/mos. Compromise on small shit but the foot comes down on vehicles. Just my two cents.

My only regret is for one year only in 2009 you could option the 'slade 6.2L motor in. 403hp/417 torque. This 5.3L 320hp/335 torque is fine if you mash the pedal but still a big difference considering a 5700lb vehicle.

The newest gen, particularly the Denali, has cool stylings but you lose considerable height and ground clearance. In fact, the new Suburbans in black to me look kinda like a hearse.

That bugatti driver should have used the e-brake trick.

I would think the only thing that likes Florida is a good hurricane. I guess that's not even the case anymore. :/

Maybe its slippery and he can feel the lack of grip? or maybe he is not used to the clutch point, so he is afraid light the Saudi Arabian prince's Bugatti's wheels up and send it flying through the trailer.
