If you think that is bad. Skoda had a 9 month delivery delay on their Octavia because they "couldn't get" the chrome window trim last year.

Speaking of craigslist cars, the holy grail just showed up a few towns down. Would daily and thrash. Anyone have experience with Panteras? They are absolutely 70's big, this one especially. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/5719889471.html

A friend of mine has a Pantera GT5-S from I believe 1986.  Its got the big wing on it.  He's had it about 10 years and likes it a lot but it needs some work now.  He said its relatively easy to work on and gets parts for.

Oh that's cool. I think I've seen one GT5-S in person (it was yellow and had the wing and flares) and it was totally stunning, mean looking. Big old carbureted Ford motors in the back of em so yeah it sounds like a mechanically simple beast.

Yes, my friend has a white one with the wing and flares.  Its very 1980's looking, but fun and cool.  Yes, the engine is a Ford Cleveland 351, and my friend says its easy to work on and lots of people modify them.  If you look here and there you can also see some parts bin pieces like tail lamps, interior switches (same on Maserati Bora and later Meraks), since DeTomaso owned Maser at one point.

Hahaha. Turns out that if you click 'search nearby areas' craigslist shits itself.

A big thing happened today. I got paid. And instead of buying a new exhaust?

I saved the money. New project car in the near future???

Had some thoughts. .

Not when it's for more car(s?) stuff.icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Hard to choose whether to buy the Engine first , or the car first.

(Oh nvm, it's just got the torsen and leather, not the struts/shocks I don't think. Still not a bad option for someone if you can get it for 3800-4k).

Personally, I like to donate to myself.*

*please feel free to donate to the ramuman fund. It'll go towards Legos, cars, cooking stuff, archaic books, and whatever computing stuff I can find at Apple, newegg, or Frys. It's for a good cause.

Pfffft. snork[1].gif you spend all your money on cars. You know imma do the same. . .

Saw this:

A "Complete" Rx8 engine, 6spd, ecu. From front to back. Just needs a radiator, engine mounts, and tailshaft. For $900. I'd just need a decent chassis to put it in. . . . devil.gif

Not jumping today. But it does make me salivate a little. foo.gif
