Cars We Drive! - Page 1622

Yeah, I'm not THAT ocd. The car just has a few chips in clear (little peeling) and a few scratches that don't go through the entire paint (a few small ones might) so I'm trying to do something that takes an hour or two on a hot day to just get that stuff taken care off before it gets worse.

I might do my daily like that as well, but I can also just take that thing through a car wash.

Fawk the clear paint - how many times have you stalled thus far?

On Tuesday, too many times to count.

Yesterday, once in a parking lot and once when I got into my garage without stalling leading to my getting excited and taking my foot off the clutch while celebrating. I did that with my bike all the time in the beginning lol. Always forgot to shift to neutral first.

Yesterday was a lot better. Had quite a few hilly starts too. I'd often give it too much gas, but let off a bit if that happened while bringing the clutch out. I.e. I'd give myself enough time to let the rpms come down a bit before letting out the clutch.

Congrats. Are they going to make you another good trade offer when they release the P100D in a few weeks?

frown.gif. I knew it was coming out. The P90D ludy can be straight upgraded since the contactor and the electrical bus will be the same.

But for real, it's only a matter of time until Japanese Hero cars get recognition. As they get harder to find in mint condition, detailed to vintage Bugatti levels.

@rtc. If you have peelng? Best geta quote from a paint shop. Should be only a couple of hundred dollars for paint correction.

@gf. Check if your air con is cold when the engine is cold. The controls could be still letting air from your heater core into the vents.

Got the front license plate holder off. The US crash test regulations required it to be on; its a wink and a nod after pick up. Tesla knows this and no visible mounting holes to be found because of how it's designed. nod[1].gif

I made the mistake that one makes when one is used to an automatic. I walked into the car in flip flops and realized a few minutes into the drive that I had made a terrible mistake :/

That's the one downside to manuals -- you always have to be in shoes. Sucks in the summer.

Don't make the mistake of wearing running shoes or any shoes with thick soles and lots of cushion or padding. You won't be able to feel the clutch and your shifting will suck until you get used to it.
