I would drive the shit out of that car if it were half the price.

It's an automatic but...
Basically yes, and 2-3k budget.
However, an opportunity might have popped up. My friend from HS still keeps his CR-X from HS as his DD and lives here. He might be going out of town for the majority of the time I'll be carless. Depending on his work schedule, when the buyer wants/needs my current car and Uber + bicycle to fill in the gaps, it might be an option. I'd literally just take him out to a nice dinner as a thank you.
Also, yes, most of CA is on crack. The nicer parts can afford cocaine, but the rest just free base it.
no pics, so it is questionable, but...a GS-R!
of course, my real answer is, screw your budget, cash out some TSLA, and pick this guy up:
Beats GF and Find Finn's pillow talk. .
Okay, please seriously look at this one. So original it still has a Cassette player. And is in exceptional condition. Hate the wheels but meh, this is a good one.
I don't understand the appeal of the BMW or Mercedes that isn't a classic (1960's or earlier). I was actually surprised to see so many on the thread. I have been a long time lurker and quite frankly, I expected far more adventurous and unique choices. I did see a few porches, an old lotus, etc. So that was nice.
A BMW or a Mercedes to me just screams: "check it out. I borrowed 80,000 bucks to get this car and I stress out about it all the time." Or it's like wearing an RL polo with an oversized logo. "Hey everyone, I spent $120 on a polo. Love me."
Just my opinion.
I just sold my 68 coupe mustang. I'm in the market for a first generation fastback. Now THAT's a car.
This is what happens, when you legalize weed. This should be a lesson to all, do it do it now. Your old bangers will be worth millions.

They quoted me four weeks. They've missed the mark by 75%.
I called them on week four to get a status update: "oh it's in assembly now. We just need to detail everything and get the car aligned. Any day now."
Same story on week five and six.
Now I'm worried that they might have taken it for a joy ride and fucked it up somehow and are trying to fix it undercover. After all, the DSC light comes up sometimes.
Maybe I'm being paranoid. But I have rightful cause to be: one of the adjusters was talking about how fast and fun it was to drive one of their customer's X6Ms when I dropped the car off. All I could think was
I mean, what do I even do to check the car when I get it back? I know the miles from when I left it and I'll obviously do a visual inspection, but fuck.
So fucking frustrating. And yes, I've already called them to let them know how frustrated and concerned I am. They laughed it off and said not to worry about it.
