Yes you are; you just don't prioritize automotive pleasure as much as HRoi does.

False modesty!

Far be it for me to pressure anyone into a financial decision they may not be prepared to make, but dat AMG has really earned my admiration. They solve those power issues that we were lamenting about with room to spare, and make these big hunks of iron actually fun to drive.

They've retuned the 550 too. It still has a 4.7 V-8 with the bi-turbo and good torque down low. Per MB it's running 0-60 in 5.2.

So the residual on AMGs suck as this was 48%. The 550 was at 56% and the 450 at 60. All 2017. The money factor, which I can't remember exactly, was good on the 550 and 450 but about 6% on the AMG. The 550 is about 90k, so if all the stars align in the fall of 2017, the 550 might happen.

Think I posted about driving a friends. Yeah, faster than the MB but also interior is smaller than even the GLE.

Better than the X6. The interior looks nice. It's too small for my liking, though.

AMG leases are fucking terrible. I think most people that get new AMG's just buy their AMG's outright and take the depreciation hit over leasing.

I saw the Tesla Model X last week, and the guy was explaining the advantage to the falcon doors is that it allows a normal person to get in and out of the third row seats easier.

Almost there. Taking her up to Amelia island for Memorial Day and that should do it.

Did my first weekend at VIR on Saturday and Sunday. Wow, a beautiful and very fast track that has you flooring it for a good portion. A few lessons learned: need a vented hood and oil cooler. I popped a check engine light on my first run Sunday morning so I pitted in a lap early, stuck the OBDII reader in and it said an ignition coil was going bad. Luckily there is a 23 page thread on FT86club about it so it's an ordinary battle. Happens when you're running high RPM for extended periods of time and your under hood temps get oven hot. The solution is a vented hood (dat JDM steez tho) and to replace the coils more frequently. Oil temps got rather high too at 255 so that's another mod to be done. Sad that I didn't get to finish the Sunday sessions - didn't want to risk a 5 hour drive on three cylinders - but in all, a cool weekend. My instructor drove a Cosworth modified Outback boosted to hell and back with R comps. Weird, but effective car. Here is a youtube of his car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5poGiNIPacE
