So we can conclude Mrs Ganjabaire wakes up in the morning thinking she's an onion.

Piob if you want a more constructive opinion, i would choose the Macan because...that's what I did. She may be ok with the S over the turbo if she doesn't need the acceleration. It is significantly more than the BMW once you load it up with the options, though.

The one car that I was upset not to be able to find to even test drive was the GLA45. It had just been released at the time and no one had it in stock. Supposedly it's Macan Turbo performance (and maybe a bit more) for the price of a Macan S. I finally saw it and sat in it this weekend and it looks nice, albeit a little racer-ish with the spoilers and kit, and decidedly downmarket from your GL in terms of appointments

Nah, she doesn't need a Macan particularly if it's more than the BMW.

Need to go look at the Infiniti FX too.

How about a Q5?

The A/CLA/GLA's are really nice small cars and the 45 amg sounds great.

Audi has the shittiest leasing in the world. Mid-40% residuals.

He donated a million, not eight, to a Nikola Tesla museum. The guy is probably the best out and out engineerer we've seen and happens to be a great programmer and a great physicist on the side.

I knew what you meant. With the exception of the motor geometry itself, Elon is pretty dismissive of Nikola. They originally asked him for 8 mil and he ended up donating 1 mil.

Ahhh, okay. I mean... The car is Nikola's namesake so I think he was being a really good sport with the donation. That said, the Oatmeal is obsessed with tesla so it's pretty hilarious about getting the car early etc. I mean, it's great PR for the company so...

Thought of the Macan but the dealership is not only in an inconvenient location but it's also in a dodgy neighborhood; not cool for her car.

So drove not only the X3 but also the new Discovery Sport (formerly the LR2 niche). Both a great vehicles, both option out around 50k or so, both have good current lease terms with residuals of 61%. The Discovery is a fine vehicle but the X3 totally outclasses it in terms of engine, electronics and amenities, and driving characteristics. IMO, the Disco looks way better. She's leaning X3 but I need to get her to drive the GLC. The BMW dealership is on her way to work vs. the MB dealership which is way out of her way (but five minutes from where I work).

If I had to guess which way she's going right now it would be with the fugly X3 and I think that would be the best choice too.

I can't believe MB gives you the GLC as a loaner.  As the big SUV owner, I would think they would give you a nicer car.  Don't S class owners get an S class loaner?

Based on all his posting in this thread, I'm thinking Ramuman may be Peter Thiel.  Or he just has an unhealthy crush on Mr. Musk.
