To be fair, the E30 is a true classic and is rare from a production numbers standpoint.
The US version of the E36 was a gimped one and it's my least favorite design. They're fairly common too.
The E46 is in an interesting position. It sold a shit ton so it's not rare at all. But it seems to be appreciating in value, or at the very least, holding steady.
That said, it seems very hard to find a good condition one that's a coupe and manual transmission. Everything I see online is either SMG or the cabriolet, or both.
Who knows where the E92 will end up. It is uniquely positioned tho in that no other M3 will ever get an NA V8.
