I am still confused how a Tesla S carries more people than a E-wagon.  Are we still stuffing one kid in the trunk?

Hopefully. Might be safer

B. Those doors were designed to avoid having minivan doors. That is the only reason for their existence. They delayed delivery of the car to get them working, they prevent the use of a roof rack, require a high roof on a garage, add extra complexity for reduced functionality (they don't open as wide as a slider). They are the definition of a gimmick.

Frankly I'd rather they would have used their inherent structural advantages to just put three regular doors on each side. Or rear suicide doors.

You realize it is the second safest car after the S. It has so much room to not need a roof rack. I'm sure you've driven one and have a take on it.

Porsche does go nuts with this stuff...and as the model matures, more and more levels get added. I couldn't tell you the proportion of people who order vs buy off the lot, but I do know the lot buyers are a big group.

I know how my dealer works pretty well, and they basically have this sense of what would attract a buyer who just walks in the door. It ends up becoming something of a cookie cutter approach - one or two base model low option units for the budget shopper, a lot of S and Turbos but not so many GTS and Turbo S. GT models are customer order only because of demand, and almost everything has nav, premium package, leather, sunroof

Got it.  Thanks.  Not that I'm in the market.. I was just idly browsing their website, and I was totally overwhelmed by all the options: especially with the trims.  A cursory look doesn't show much of a difference.

Only on SF car thread can someone say they don't give a fuck about showing off and then talk about buying an AMG. Just get one of those fucking huge pick up trucks with four doors.

All I'm learning from the current discussion is that having 4 kids makes buying a nice car a huge pain in the ass.

Having one cute girlfriend makes justifying any cars an equally bad pain in the ass.

Stop having your girlfriend play with your ass.

what he really needs, is a show quality fully built 1960's-70's wagon with a front bench seat. have it slammed on bags, running an Ls engine, and generally built to a high standard. - great for the family, and the Casino Valet. also comes with more swag than an AMG.

We've never had any physical contact. Our relationship is purely based on sarcastic comments.
