Cars We Drive! - Page 1308

changing from the left lane to the right lane was basically a "well, put the blinker on and see if you can nudge in" operation. No way to accurately judge if you actually have enough room to merge.

Well, this happened today. I guess she was a lot more serious about this than I thought 😅

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's a '16 Macan Turbo with the pasm/air suspension - I'm not really an SUV fan but if she must have one, this was the best we could do to make it "feel" like a sportscar.

So now we each have a toy this year - I bought it from the same guy who I placed my GT4 order with. I don't know how much I'll be driving it, but I have to get used to driving a tall car when I do. It's a bit more "disconnected" than other Porsches - there's less of a sense of drama when you accelerate (although it is undeniably very fast) and the steering is not as good. But the air suspension really helps in cornering and weight transfer.

Here's another pic for good measure:

Did y'all trade in the Cayman?

Yeah, PFS has an early lease termination offer that actually expires tomorrow. so they'll swallow the rest of the Cayman lease payments and i'll turn the car in next week.

One other thing I should mention - opticoat makes the car ridiculously easy to clean. We took a couple of road trips the last two weeks and experienced a lot of that El Niño weather. Accordingly our car had become quite dirty. While driving home today we hit some decent rain and it pretty much cleaned up the front 3/4 of the car. The tail is still a mess but with the way the opticoat sheds water and dirt the car looks surprisingly good. This is great for us because I only wash the car every few months. I do a one bucket wash with optimum no rinse and a 20 minute wash produces more than sufficient results.
