High flow cats and a resonator helped me. I used o2 Sims for my sensors to not throw a code as well.

40% Bran Flakes with a decent side of coffee. You'll pass emissions enough for anyone's test.

It depends on the state, but the "fumes" aren't what trigger it.  Most states use a computer to talk to the car computer though.

I suggest you trade that M3 in for a LaFerrari. It will pass emissions with no problems whatsoever

Try not to sniff them too much or you'll end up in a morgue.

Move to Indiana, no passenger vehicle inspections here.

Does it have a cat? Some cars with two standard cats can pass with one. High flow aftermarket cats will also pass.

Why not take it to a mechanic who also does inspections and have them give it a test first?

GF needs to trade in his car for a Subaru.

Turns out I'll pass the emissions test just fine. What I'm gonna fail on is the fucking tint.

Apparently RI has a strict no tint policy ☹️

I see 70% needed in RI from the on-line sources-- or is that what ordinary car glass gets you?

Your car will look better without, IMHO. Not a fan of tinted windows, but I think you already know that.

Fully agree. Then again, I'm boring to the point where I get European visors without the airbag warnings and hate keyholes so I leave the key cylinder in and get the RHD cover.

Tinting comes across as pretty douchey and doesn't serve much purpose unless you always park outside in the sun and don't mind losing visibility.

My car mod pet peeves are (there's prolly more), but:

- non-functional vents/intakes,
- mods to the headlights or taillights,
- large wheels with tiny rotors,
- coloring a caliper on a car red if it's not actually a decent caliper, or yellow/gold if it doesn't have CCBs
- wraps - no matter how well done they are,
- ridiculously loud stereos,
- loud exhausts (especially doing stuff to the cat/cats) that do shit for performance,
- dyno figures and straight line racing performance,
- tinting

...

More ranting coming

Actually agree with all those points. tell us more, sir. :lurk:

My biggest Pet hates in Car Modding?

-"Stance yo"

-"I don't know how to tune this engine, Let's LS swap it"

-People doing tacky mods, wrecking their cars, and calling it "JDM"

-Misuse, and overuse of the term "JDM"

-"My car is a Stage 2!!"

- People who buy a classic, hard to find, or otherwise decent car, and want to make it "A Drift Car".

-Headlight upgrades brighter than 1,000 suns.

-Hype around certain parts, when better parts can be had in a similar price range.  (Ie: IHI VF37 Turbo Vs HKS or Tomei Turbo's)

- A window full of Air Fresheners. - A JDM trend, you will see it soon.

- Stickers. on a Car's exterior. even in the windows. unless it is a workshop you endorse.

done for now....
