We're saving up for 488s - wouldn't be caught dead in a 458.

I'd rather have the MP-12C in that category. When the M4 lease expires, I've debated selling the P85D and getting that car. I only have a girlfriend so it could be a semi-practical daily driver on the fairly decent SoCal roads. Insurance rates are better than the Ferrari as well - roughly 180-200 a month.

I don't think it's ugly, it's just boring. If I ever got a Ferrari, I'd have to get it in rosso crosa - which should only be paired with the their F1 cars and the super cars. Not a California or a previous gen car, because of the attention it draws being unwarranted otherwise.

The MP4-12C is not the best looking car, I'll admit, but there's more around it than that. I can take the details of the dealership experiences me and my friend have had between multiple states and dealerships, experiences with Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Tesla, and BMW to private messages.

The only company on that list that I wouldn't buy a car from is Ferrari.

Ferrari have sucked since they went rear engine.  It's not about having money, it's about wasting money.

I wouldn't go that far - it's about me and my friend in their early 30s going into multiple dealerships and being treated like shit. Also, Ferrari has almost always been RWD but have kept a front engine car - the 550/575 down to now has been a spectacular GT car series.

RWD is great and AWD is great as well. Ferrari make great cars, however they have very little in the way of human decency at the dealerships, which is precisely the reason that some guys that love cars like Elon Musk, Jerry Seinfeld, and Jay Leno don't have one - but they all have/had Porsches and McLarens. It's douche on douche with Ferrari.

actually ^ would be great for this thread as opposed to 11 pages on whether or not to buy 1997 M3 instead of a 1999 M3. Please indulge us!

A 1999 manual of course. Leave your kids at home, because they only had 2 doors.

A fan of this overall. However the plastic grill in the upper opening doesn't look very good.

Dropping it about an inch would much improve the look as well. Being Japanese pushes most of the Alfa reliability fears out of the picture too.

Any word on pricing in the US?
