... Anyone in mass know of a place that will "pass" illegal tints and a lack of a front-mounted license plate during inspections?
I got a no front license plate fix it ticket and used zip ties to put on the plate (easy for me since my air dam is like an egg crate). The officer who signed my fix it ticket said something like "well, I guess if you want to be law abiding that's one way to do it." I didn't know whether to icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif or nod[1].gif

Yup. Also, future proofing the parking lots in rural Ontario...30 years ago.

I'm going to do this, too -- just zip tie the plates to the mesh grill in my bumper and then hopefully find a place that will pass my tints. If I get a pass, I'll take the plates back off and mount it on my dash like normal icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif.

Now.. onto finding a place that will turn a blind eye to my tints.. else I'm just going to fucking remove the damn tint.

If the great state of MA towed your car for expired reg, something tells me they're going to be a pain in the ass about tint and plates. Pick up one of those tow hook plate mounts

Nothing below 35% and front plates are required.

Through my research, apparently there's a clause that forbids driver's from modifying their exhausts from being louder than stock.

What a fucking communist state!

Getting rid of the tint would be a good thing, GF, IMO. IIRC, your tint is very dark, not my cuppa, but YMMV.

Tint is just an excuse for the cops to pull you over. Get rid of it.

Never seen a Show car with tints. i promise, get it off, keep your windows clean, and it will look 100 times better.

have you thought of getting a plate sticker????  (to conform to shape)  or a custom mounting point?

WHAT?

Yup, Award winning show cars strive for a clean look. and the inside must compliment the outside. among other things. (so it must be visible from the outside)  company demo cars? sure. -serious show cars. = minus points.

clean windows beat tints.  anytime.  if your ride hight is correct. and your wheels/paint are perfect? even better. it just goes on from there..........

some examples..

4 very different cars, no tint.  all top level.

But his car isn't a show car, so why is that even remotely relevant?

Also I know multiple people who own daily driven multi award wining show cars and they all have tinted windows.

All but the Lexus has some sort of tint on their windows.
