Nice! I'm pretty jealous. I was all up for a new ride this weekend. frown.gif

Enjoy the hell out of that. It looks awesome.

Ho lee fuk so jelly congrats!

edit: you guys got the best rims for the cayman s, too, imo. That's the exact combo I'd get, except in sapphire blue.

Did you guys get the performance exhaust?
No, but I kind of wanted it. Also the sports suspension, but we couldn't find a car that had both plus PDK and sports chrono. So we either had to order, or get what I consider a good deal ok a car on the lot and instant gratification.

There are better aftermarket options anyway, particularly on the PSE that claims zero performance gains

Nice. I looked at the Cayman S as well but it brought the car over $80k before taxes with decent options and that didn't seem right. Also, I don't think I was able to move my seat as far back as I needed. Definitely a small car. Did you say that you didn't get the chrono package? The sport plus from chrono makes the car wild.
I did, sorry that wasn't clear. Car has pdk, chrono package, nav with Bose system, 20" carrera S wheels and other stuff that I didn't need but didn't add too much to the price so it was ok.

Car did exceed 80k MSRP but I negotiated about 8% off that. Wasn't as good a discount as I got from BMW but I'm ok with it

8% is pretty good for the first year of the new car. They weren't as flexible when the car first came out.

Lovely Cayman - Congrats!

If only we had the same market in Australia as you do in the states. Cars are expensive here and the dollar does not go as far.

$100k in Australia buys you this (loaded) Audi SQ5 which I just bought to replace my MKVI GTI (which cost $50k once optioned).

Bit of a change from the GTI with more room for my first born due in August.

How is that exspensive and is the Australian sq5 a diesel or a petrol.
The Australian delivered SQ5's are Diesel.

Well expensive in that the SQ5 runs closer to 60-70k loaded in the US by comparison (I believe).

I should also clarify that I got an incredibly good deal on my SQ5. With all options they can be as high as 120k.

The difference is even greater as you go up. That $99k Aston posted earlier is easily $250k-$300k here.

100k goes a hell of a lot further in the US compared with Australia. I'd get a 2006 Vantage for $99k here.
