Early 90's is where it's at for a pure car. I drive a Q45 now, but used to have a 240sx fastback, so fun to drive and easy to work on when you toss the KA24 and throw the SR20 in.

No power steering??????????

Saw a 911 years ago towing a caravan, with bike racks on the roof. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

it's been great, but I am thinking of replacing it with a more practical car if and when my wife and I have kids, (hopefully in the next year).

now the question that made me finally register here: any recommendations for a stylish, sporty, relatively compact 4-door family hauler? I will probably go for the x1 or q3 but am awfully tempted by the macan diesel (likely coming to the us in 2015; I'm already on two dealer lists). I live in sf, so prefer smaller vehicles for parking and efficiency purposes.

1 kid doesn't take up that much room.  Carseat stays in place and the trunk has to have room for a stroller.  Sounds like a 3 series is in your future, although it's not too compact anymore

Will repoart back!

Random note: the salesperson on the phone said it has a DCT which is patently false, so I pushed back and said I thought it was an 8-speed automatic, which it is. He said he was going to grab the spec sheet and let me know.. 30 seconds later he comes back and says, 'yup, it's a dual clutch!'

fucking salesmen who don't know shit facepalm.gif

Had to get a kid hauler as a second car as three kids was a bit of a headache getting into a a5, dead set on a defender but after test driving wife wouldnt have any of it so ended up with a range, still want a defender but can hopefully go for a 90svx one as a fun car instead of a regular 110 now.

Heard good things about the M235i. Shame it is so bland when it comes to styling.

honestly that is the only BMW that appeals to me visually. I hate the 4 and the rest I'm not crazy about. Other than the grand coupe...

Very nice ... the Renge is my favorite.

The P1 is just perfect.. in every single way.

wow.
Agreed. Might be my favourite supercar ever (next to the McLaren F1, of course). I can't even get remotely excited about the LaFerrari or 918 after seeing the reviews of the P1.
