Hertz rents those now, I just came back from Phoenix and the guy offered it to me for $1200 a day. I think that was a heavily discounted rate because my experience with Hertz is that they'll toss you all kinds of sweeteners to get you to upgrade rather than have the cars just sit there.

They claim to have made 399 but general consensus amongst Ferraristi is that they made way more.

I hate to ask, but I'm gonna go ahead and ask anyway:

For those of you who have driven an E60 M5 before and also have experience driving an F430 (ahem, HRoi) -- how does the acceleration compare between the two? From a stop? From a roll?
i've driven an M3 (i forget the series, i think it was an '04) and an F430.

the comparison, it does not exist.

No shit the comparison doesn't exist...

E46 M3: 333hp inline-6
E60 M5: 500hp V10
F430: 483hp V8

Similar power delivery (pulls strong, very linear, not overpowering torque but screams to a very high redline), the sound makes the acceleration very exciting for both cars. F430 faster and lighter and my seat of the pants could tell the difference

Exactly the comparison I was looking for. Nothing's more accurate than the butt dyno lulz.

Thanks.

the M5 V10 pulls like a train at higher speeds.
Off the line, not so much

rotflmao.gif pope?
They auctioned it off.
I have a feeling its the one Schumacher owned and recently put up for sale, its got the same orange leather interior with red exterior.
I suspect its the only of with this combination.

Ferrari's 400th Enzo, which it originally donated to Pope John Paul II before his death, has been sold by Ferrari at Sotheby's to an unnamed American rich dude for $1.1 million, twice the going rate. The company then gave the money to Pope Benedict XVI for humanitarian relief.

Evidently, Benedict didn't want the Enzo for his personal popemobile, saying that he has enough trouble trying to "drive the church."
