I agree they do look good in the pic, Minya. If *you* think they're too tight, DAYUMMMM, they must be hella ti-i-ght. I thought you liked your denim that way (?)

haha, I like tight, but not mammal-toe tight. I was mammal-toeing in those 19cm's. I'm gonna give it a few days, see if they stretch out a little bit, but otherwise, I'm gonna stick them on eBay.

They came in yesterday, but I haven't really had time to wear them yet. Japanese 21 cm in size 28. The fit is really good, but I'm not sure how I feel about the length. I think I'm just not used to jeans being that long, but it might also have something to do with the fact that they look better scrunched up on the 19cm model. The hem on these measures 7 3/8 inches, or about 18.75cm. I'm glad I didn't go for the Japanese 19 cm model, because I don't know if I could have handled a hem of ~6.5 inches. The curse of being skinny with big feet. Overall, I think I'm happy with my purchase. I'm going to wear them around as is, and then decide if I want a little length lopped off. Feels almost like a sin to even consider it, but what can you do? They are very soft right now too, and I'm debating on starching them. Thoughts? They're basically some of the softest jeans I own right now. PS Minya have you decided on yours yet?

They're raw. They just don't have any starch in them, and I've been wearing my NS, which I starch several times a week.

I'm pretty sure I'm keeping both of mine. I'm getting my 21cm's hemmed right now (to 33.5" ... bye-bye, chainstitch

) and I think I'm gonna keep the 19cm's. I've worn the 19cm's a couple more times and they've gotten less and less skin-tight on the thighs, and they're starting to look great. I think I'm gonna make the 21cm's my project jean in a few weeks after I wash my D'artisans again. I'm eager to see what they look like when they're worn for a long time w/o a wash. also, I wouldn't starch them. I like that they're soft. It's a nice change from board-stiff jeans. Also, part of why they look so good is the way they drape, and if you starch them the drape-ness (durr) will sort of get fucked up. They'll still fade.

I was considering getting mine hemmed to the 34 or 35 inch range. Post some pics whenever you get yours done, I want to see how they look. Hell, post more pics of your 19 cm while you're at it, I love looking at denim porn.

That's also what was holding me back about starching them. I was worried they would bunch up all funny. Going from memory, however, I think TragicBliss' Diors looked kinda starched.

Or at least they had some defined creases that I never seem to get without stiff denim.

What sucks about the long ass inseam and normal/slim hem, is that when walking around bare foot I step on the jeans several inches above the hem. I'm going to have to be careful, or get them hemmed, lest I end up with some weird ass fading on the back of the leg.

Off topic aside: My girlfriend of about six weeks is just starting to get all the details about my fashion obsession/hobby. Like a squirrel, I didn't want to frighten her away with lurid stories of dry denim too soon. But now that she knows, she find it weird that I post pictures of myself wearing jeans on the internet. She also finds it weird that I enjoy looking at photos of jeans and other guys wearing jeans.

Not to mention that she just doesn't really see why I care about it so much. I guess it could seem a little silly if you lay it out like that. I dunno, anyone else have some thoughts or experiences here? The girl before this one loved it when I bought new jeans, and wanted to see them right away. She ranked them all in order of how cute they made my ass look.

Needless to say, she hated my few anti-fit purchases.

i'm actually surprised to read that your japanese 19 cm are too slim in the thighs for you. i found them to be not that much different than the italian 21 cm, other than the leg opening of course. are you buying these jeans in your actual size or are you sizing down? i do know the canvas or khaki pants that dior makes are super slim through the thighs, so thank goodness they stretch.

What's extra odd is that earlier, I had tried on a pair of black 19cm's at Saks and they fit perfectly. They were slim, but not too tight. The indigo ones were definitely too tight... although they're getting better now. Maybe the Saks ones were already stretched out? I dunno.

I bought them in my actual size, 32, and the waist fits perfectly.

You did well, people that size down too much end up having to wear them as high waisted as possible with a saucage fit, it's not that these jeans are badly sized (vanity sizing for twigs

) it's that they're intended to be worn very low on the hips...
