She looks like a college freshman, I know some of them that look younger than her. I remember I was at a costume party and like, the youngest looking girl was wearing the skimpiest costume and I kept yelling at her because she was hot but she looked like she was 16 and it was making me feel bad for thinking she looked hot. She kept being all "why is this a bad thing" and I was like "gahahhhhh because my sister looks older than you and that's not cool!"

any point in contributing an opinion to the original point of the thread?

here it goes,

I was pretty heavily into workwear style for the past 4-5 years. More selvage denim and flight jackets than flannels and shirts, but I had my share, and had the redwings and everything. Personally, I found that I got bored of the clothing. I got bored of sticking to one aesthetic for so long, especially when I started noticing people jumping on the bandwagon and all. over the past 6 or 7 months I've slowly got rid of almost all of my workwear stuff. The only stuff I'll keep are the jeans. I can't see any reason to get rid of them, as I still think they're the best, and basically devoid of branding or super-trendiness. I'm trying to figure out where I'll go next style wise. I'm not sure really, been getting into Stone Island jackets lately (I'm in the states) and looking out for something that interests me. but yeah, I'd agree, the workwear trend has come and gone.

on that note,

anyone wanna buy a RRL Chambray? sz XL? selvage lined, 7/10 condition, oil stain on pocket, cig hole on bottom hem. 40 bucks shipped? hehe.

not like it's a trend or anything the star system needs a grammatical overhaul, if instead of one star it said "this thread ******* sucks" it would be far more effective in preventing the loss of brain cells

At my work I dont wear this "workwear" crap. I wear a ****** t-shirt pair of cheap normal jeans and a pair of crappy boots. No real worker is going to pay $50+ for a chambray shirt or $100 for selvadge denim when its going to get beat to ****.

ugh. To be serious for a second. The whole point of workwear is to engage the aesthetic rather than actually replicate what modern construction workers are wearing. Obviously they're wearing ratty free tshirts, random jeans/pants, and whatever sturdy work shoes their company pays for out of one of those catalogs or if they don't pay for them the cheap ones at walmart with insoles. If you want to "get" the workwear thing, take a look at some of the library of the old photos of american workers from the 1930s-60s. Also, it has been intertwined with american heritage stuff and outdoorsy/woodsy things as well. It's more about the general emotion you get from looking at some of those photos rather than trying to step by step copy a look. There is something romantic about it that people are attracted to. Dressing in a style that is an homage to that is a natural extension of one's interest in that era/people/aesthetic. It's basically an artistic approach to a romanticized view of the past. Most people however just wear business casual looks but with more expensive boots and maybe a chambray shirt. Others who come from a more streetwear/sneakerculture background have their own twist on it. Really don't see the harm.
