The scissor and hammer demonstrations were pretty unconvincing. I wouldn't want to do anything that would put my face or hands too close to that serrated edge.

I'm still getting one for everyone in my family for Christmas. Not many things can help you dig a hole AND peel a potato AND rappell a wall AND paddle a boat. Communism should replace the image of the hammer and sickle with this thing.

Did you see that part where they convert it into a pick? I've used bigger versions of that (wiki: changkol) and it gets the job done quick. But asian shellscrapes need only be more...uhmm shallower than north american shellscrapes.
