It doesn't give me stats on who clicked on them as far as I can tell. The system as pasted in the OP only creates an "event" when that happens and from what I can see from the event report, it doesn't keep stats on what/who caused the event. If anyone knows how to do what Crane's said, let me know and I'll look into it. I think goals/funnels may be the way to do it, but still looking into it.

If you go to Traffic Sources > Advanced Segments dropdown > Create New Advanced Segment link > Content dropdown under Dimensions > drag Event Action into the box, matches exactly the Crane's event, then filter the traffic sources report by that segment, do you get the data you're looking for?

Impressive. So far all I have is direct traffic (only 2 clicks after I got it working so far), so I don't have any info on search terms etc. But I can filter all the other reports by that segment. Thanks a lot, I would have taken a while to figure that out.

No problem. Please be advised that this is really my first time playing around in GA so there may be a better solution; I'm more familiar with Omniture.

Okay, crap. The 'return' thing I did apparently broke it. All the clicks it did count were from the period before I "fixed" it, when it was opening the links in the same window. Anyone have any ideas here?
