Staying in Hong Kong for 3 days, hotel cost? - Page 2

This is interesting, so say I wanted to go to HK for the minimum time needed to get a Chan made and a couple of fittings, so I left with the finished article... How long do you think I would need to be there?

At $60 a night I feel this could be a good idea ( though not an original one )

is this true? i've heard so much praises about this tailoring establishment called "sam's" that claims to make the best shirt AND suits in hongkong... even the elder george bush commissions him. you mean to say this ricky is a better tailor than sam?

somewhere on Chan's website it says he can make a suit with all the fittings in 3 or 4 days when absolutely rushed... not sure if that would compromise quality or not.

And they are very unexpensive, my first shirt cost me about £42. Okay it's not a Turnbull & Asser shirt but they make better shirts than Budd I would say. I would not recommend their suits however. Oh and it is advisable to speak with them in Chinese if you can, their English is... Improving! http://www.jantzentailor.com/ So as I said, go have a look.
thank you for the link... I looked at the website and it does look like Mr. Jantzen can give Mr. Sam a run for their money. I also saw that they can do 'special tailoring works' which is something Mr. Sam does not do, as I remember asking them by email years ago if they can make me a Black Vulcan costume with which they never answered back.
