The price of 3K euros (for oxfords, derbies, maybe loafers) in boxcalf includes fitting shoes (ready for the 2nd appointment) and fitting trees.

Delos already has A LOT of work, and as he has a small workshop (maybe 2 bootmakers, Anthony included, and an apprentice), so if you make him come in the US he will have to work 24/7. He would be overexhausted within 2 years and retire, and we need shoes, so please, don't rotflmao.gif

Shouldn't M. Delos do more for L'HommeRJ then just sending his regards? I suggest a free pair of shoes. After all, it was L'HommeRJ who discovered Delos in some unsavoury parts of Paris and introduced him to this forum and the wider world.

Saint Crispin's hand lasting was awesome.  But Delos's hand lasting is at another level.  He lasts inner, toe/side guard and upper separately :o

Kemper these shoes are state of the art.

Comparisons are odious, but interesting to see the organic shaping of the bespoke Delos v the mto Vass single sole trapezoidal heel tapering to bottom v Vass slightly assymetrical dble sole heel

The Delos is similar to the Vass OEII but has a very finely trimmed sole.

Love to know how Delos gets the finish so smooth and consistent over the whole upper.
