Hey, great job! What did you do to get that fading in the lap?

I'm guessing many, many lap dances.

So for a complete denim newbie, the idea behind distressing dry denim is not not wash them at all for nearly a year? I live in really rainy area so I'm wondering how great it'll be to have to walk around in the rain if dry denim can leak/stain. Would I be SOL if I gave them a 1st time wash to get rid of some of the dye before non-washing for months?

Thanks again for the comments, fellas. The indoor, post-wash pictures aren't too great; white balance was not adjusted. I'll try to snap a few pics at work during the day tomorrow. I usually don't get home soon enough to take pics with good sunlight, so I'll do my best...

I wish I were a triathlete...I'd be in way better shape, rather, in shape.

These have gone through a few lap dances, though nothing compared to what my old PD&Cs endured at my bachelor party. Seriously, though, the lap wear probably resulted from abrasion to what I had in my pockets (pen&pencil in left and keys in right). There was a week in January that I lifted and moved heavy boxes, speakers, etc. during a rennovation/re-org. This probably contributed the most.

Hate to bug, but anyone want to take a shot at my question(s)?

There are plenty of companies that always sell their jeans one wash instead of raw, and for a good number of brands, its necessary to wash/or soak them to get rid of shrinkage. So no... you won't be SOL. It's common practice for a lot of people, just not necessarily for the reasons you mentioned. That said, of the 4 pairs of raw/one-wash I've had, only one has bled.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I figured stuff like those RRL's wouldn't shrink too much after hearing what people like gza have said and the fact that they're sanforized. Just didn't want to buy a pair and have my friends ask if I'm auditioning for the blueman group.

Would it be a crime to wash those every few months?

It's only a crime if you tell the frequent posters on mynudies.com. They are antiwash nazis over there.

I sported the Veggies today, so I pulled these out of my bag and snapped a few pics. Still not the best pictures, but they'll have to do until this weekend. I plan on washing these as needed; I don't like them to look dirty.

Question is it possible to have a tailor remove the big Nudie Patch on the back? That's the one and only problem with them.

I guess I baited the Canadian tuxedo post...

I'm still a fan of how you're Nudie's came out.

Jeans look amazing. I have some questions for you:
Were you able to take pictures of them in natural light again after the wash?
What is SS Dry - Svens?
Who makes, where do you buy Veggies? Is it vegtable indigo dyed?
Would love to know more. Your jeans look so AMAZING!

This is a great example of how one develops a personal patina and unique wear pattern.
