Not sure what your gripe is, exactly. The poll didn't reveal what percentage of the 49% who have a negative view of fast food still eat fast food regularly (your made up 99% notwithstanding). And even if a lot of them do, I don't see the horrible contradiction in sentiments like, "I get fast food because it's cheap and the kids will eat it, but I know it's not a quality product and wish there were better options."
Or do you think that, by analogy, everyone who lives in tract housing with Sears siding (because that's what they can afford, because that's what's available near their workplace) should extol the virtues of that kind of architecture?
