Make sure you call your cell phone company and cancel service right away. Also call the people on your contact list and make sure they know your phone was taken and that they should beware suspicious calls in the immediate future.

In hindsight I probably made a bunch of poor decisions in terms of walking around the city alone late at night while I was in college in DC. Fortunately was never mugged, but had some friends who were. Glad you're ok, dude. edit:
I was in 7-11 one night around 3am and got that feeling that someone was looking at me. Looked up, and a guy asked me if I needed a ride home - said he had a limo outside. I sad no thanks, paid, and ran most of the way back. There was in fact a limo outside - maroon, 80's style (this was back in '02).
