Any recommendations? I was thinking of getting a simple Movado but I'm not sure if that's proper for daily wear. What do you guys think?

Gasp. A Movado for daily wear? Surely you are not in your right mind. Not only is it improper, Sir, it is quite obscene, I assure you.

Longines, Tissot and Hamilton are good choices.

How much are Stowas now? I saw a Stowa Flieger recently and was pretty impressed with it.

Stowas starts at around $650-$700 for the fliegers iirc. The Antea are still around $500 but I think the wait time is still pretty long. For around the same price, I would look at Archimede if you want a flieger, you can't go wrong with either one though.

SNDA57P1 for the black faced one, so they are SND starting models. They are quartz unlike the bottom Seiko 5 which is auto.

all the watches previously recommended are inspired by the german b-uhr watch. and with that $500 budget you can opt for Laco which has history and part of those 5 german watch co. commissioned to manufacture the pilot watch (IWC, wempe, stowa, A.lange & sohne and laco)

check the flieger classic Type-A
