Mr. Show was 90% medicore and 10% brilliant. Pound for pound, I think it's about the same as SNL. :hidesbehindsofa:

I once spent an entire afternoon lobbing various household objects across the living room at my brother who was hiding behind the sofa. I'm more than willing to do a repeat performance.

Does anyone have episodes on dvd or on their harddrive? Any links to a good active torrent? I'm still waiting on my slow copies of The State and Stella. The gf liked Human Giant i downloaded awhile back so wanted other similar sketch stuff

loved it! It used to be on at midnight on HBO. Also they always used the underappreciated hitchcock-esque segues between skits instead of hard breaks.

I'd say it was 50% mediocre and 50% brilliant. That said, the 50% that was brilliant alone makes it one of my favorite shows.

Any sketch show is going to have a certain amount of variability in quality. But I think Mr Show has a better ratio of good to suck than most shows. I also love the effort they put into making each sketch flow into the next. That's not as easy as it looks.
