Baron Wells - Page 4

Summer sale at Baron Wells (use code summer60).

Can anyone comment on how Baron Wells shirts fit? Specifically lengthwise. I know that tonio mentioned earlier in the thread that it fits longer than BoO, but in my experience, BoO varies a great deal from piece to piece, which makes it a little confusing to use as a reference point.

The length measurement on a size medium BW says 27", which is rather short (and would be perfect for me). Hm...

Wish they didn't use the club collar. Drives me nuts, especially since these are supposedly some of the only shirts that would have the right length for me OTR

Just got my eaton submarine shirt in, and I have to say, I quite like it. I am very small and it is the first shirt I've bought where I didn't immediately have the feeling of "I like it, but it could be a bit smaller here or there." Fit really is exceptional on me. Not a huge fan of their spring/summer fabric, but if they come out with a thicker oxford fabric shirt for fw, I will almost certainly cop one if they pop up on gilt/during their end of season sale. Not sure if I would pay full retail for them though, although they are cheaper than BoO at retail. Overall, if you are a small guy and need a slim/cropped style shirt Baron Wells is a really good alternative to BoO. I'm finna wear it out to dinner tomorrow night for my sisters birthday, so I'll post a fit pic.

They fit short and slim. I'm 5'5", 140 lbs., 36" chest and the XS L/S shirts fits almost-but-not-quite too tight, and are a good length for me. I believe it when they say 27" for a medium.

@Jslade- Their mediums are a bit short. I have 2 Baron Wells shirts, both contrast pocket shirts and they fall shorter than all my other dress shirts. I'm 5' 10.5'' and it hasn't been an issue for me. I'm also a 40" chest, and medium fits fine.

Just me or the Eaton shirts fit a little larger than last season's? Trying to exchange my smalls for XS but I'm not sure if Baron Wells allows it on sale items.

I initially thought that but then it just turned out to be machine shrinkage waiting to happen. My contrast pocket shirt from this season is now all the same as my old ones.

there has been a lot of talk about shirting here but does anybody have exdperience with blazers? How do they fit? I'm a 1 in BoO and it fits perfectly...

Ah, that's a fair amount of shrinkage. Inch in the chest, 1/2 in the collar. Oh well, still going to try the XS once they get back to me... it's been 3 days now.

I don't know how some guys are washing their shirts to make them shrink a whole size, but I washed my SS11 shirt in cold gentle and after a hang dry it fits well just like it did pre-wash. The smalls from this past season fit me just as well as the smalls from last season too.

Thanks tonio! I was planning on washing cold and hang drying so I'm glad to hear this won't cause significant shrinkage.

I lost a not-insignificant amount from the sleeves, neck, and body length on my contrast collar shirt from shrinkage. I didn't notice how much shrinkage there is in the p2p or shoulder. I can report that it now fits just like all the previous ones I have.

Just remeasured the unwashed smalls to my older ones.
Washed ones are a 1/2 inch smaller in p2p, wrist width, collar, and sleeve length. Cold wash, hang dry. Pretty minor shrinking.
