The buttons are made from Corozo which I understand is a nut of some description so you might think they would deteriorate but they seem treated with a varnish or something. If the buttons start to fall apart I'll let everyone here know straight away!
everything I've seen (including their website) says their buttons are made out of "potato starch/bone" I've picked up quite a few too. Gilt has had them 3 times allready, and the shirts were at $58 the last couple times. I've only washed one so far (drycleaned two others) but it seems just fine. Oh and +1 on the MOP buttons being fragile BS... theres no way a washing machine is going to fuck them up

the measurements on their site are pretty accurate. The only exception is the ptp- i measured 19 for my small not 19.75... they probably measure all fabric rather than seam to seam

Fit (as you can kinda tell by the measurements) is short and slim; kind of like a slightly more relaxed BOO.

washed one on cold, hang dry.

doing great. if there was any shrink, it's quite hard to tell. no color loss or button damage.

Hate to bring this old thing back, but could any of you give me a spot on neck measurement for a size small?

Thanks!

Oh thanks, you mentioned the chest size was a smaller then listed, wasn't sure if the neck size was too.

lol yeah. I guess I can understand not hemming the pants (so they can still be sold as merchandise), but really - you took all the time and effort to take pics for your website but couldn't spend an extra 15 seconds to fix the shirt tuck?

I'm not talking about the shirt tuck. This shirt does not fit this guy. It's debatable whether the shoulders fit (I say they're too small for him) but it's not even debatable that the sleeves are at least 1" short for him.

Dang, a 37 total or 18.5 inch shirt fits me like perfect, no idea if I should go up or down. But those shirts are so nice...

.

Wait, I thought the standard P2P measurement was taken edge to edge, not seam to seam.. (because that gives you the true girth, whereas doubling seam to seam is useless)

Not groundbreaking news and might not tickle many's fancies, but a handful of shirts, chinos, and accessories from this SS season on sale for nice prices on Gilt today. Just FYI.

^I picked up the contrast pocket shirts in grey and blue with some Gilt creds I had leftover.
