Can we go to a cheap place? My weekly alcohol budget is usually exhausted come Monday night.

Red Derby in Columbia Heights/Petworth may be sufficiently cheap ($2 schlitz, $5 beer and a shot)

ps. no matter how it looks, red derby is not in that dangerous of an area.

i would suggest room 11 in cohi, but only for the ambience and the likelihood of less hipsters (wonderland is down the street and the raven is not too far).

there's plenty of room there outside and we can actually chat without having to worry about having things spilled on us, and dan the main bartender is really nice.

I just noticed this. As a DC resident for almost two years, it still took me a hot minute and a half to figure out what that meant. Seriously, cohi? When will I begin to hear about duci, woopa, clepa and cahi? Not to mention AdMo. Oh, nevermind about that last one
