Just got these Jarman saddle shoes from ebay.
The vendor had them described as Cordovan, but seeing the "Made in Korea" label inside, I'm not too sure.
Not that it matters, as I didn't even notice the Cordovan in the auction title, just saw some nice saddle shoes in my size for a great price.
Shell? Also, anyone interested in having a go at my first posting? A quality shoe that the company have no information about except "Kurt Geiger 7 is a registered trademark since 10 years ago, the shoes looks very well made, but I can't find anything in our files about them, sorry" .
95% sure that those are shell. Maybe post a few more pics from different angles. Some of the lines on the black portion look like they aren't shell, so its' possible that the orange portion is shell and the other portion isn't. More pictures would tell for sure.
Thank you, Rebel222. What about these? They are NOS and 40-50 years old. There are some spots with a dull, milky white residue and that is what triggered my interest as I have seen this before on NOS shells.
If not shell, the patina is nice.
Not shell, and that's not patina. That's either a cheap corrected grain leather, or not even leather.
