11-7 Workday

Thread Starter
New job I'm starting has an unsteady schedule: some days or 9-5, others are 11-7... How would you approach this type of thing?

When should I be looking to eat with an 11-7 schedule like this? When would you go to bed and wake up? Would you wake up later on later days or try to keep things steady?

Thanks in advance for input/advice

I would try to keep things steady. I love the mornings when I can go to work a a couple hours later. I find that those hours are usually my most productive as I tend to look at them as "stolen" hours"”hours I usually wouldn't have had free. Read the paper, have a nice coffee, exercise, or have a satisfying shave. Actually, you can probably do all of those things.

I feel like this is pretty terrible advice if the OP lives on the west coast.

You can eat after 6 PM EST, but only if the food you're eating has 1.78 carbs per pound and the glycemic index of the food is -12.

I work 2-10 and have no problems. Just eat on your break at work.

what the hell is so hard about a 11-7 schedule?

It's not like you are doing the midnight shift/graveyard shift.

treat it like a normal 9-5 day. It's just TWO hours later.

Dude, I work a job where I've had to work a 1-10 immediately followed by a 7-4 or a 8-5 followed by a 4-12. Just live with it.
