Still one of mine. And they're cheaper now.

I drive a company Taurus quite a lot. It's really great. It corners well, it brakes very well, the cruise control is perfect, and it happily cruises at 80 while not feeling like it is going to fall apart. I am really impressed by it. Ford is really doing stuff right. Oh, and even the bigtimers have to be happy with what they have -- someone always has more. ~ H

I thought the 850 was the shit in its day but I don't think it's aged well at all. Not like that sexy jag of yours.

The RS6 is too heavy. Is it even available in the US?

Agree that the 8-series looks dated, plus, sit in the interior of one and you'll lose interest in them quickly. It's like being surrounded by a wall of Ti-86 and some leather, with a bus steering wheel in front of you. You feel compelled to check with the control tower before you pull out of your driveway.

Fiat 500. Might end up buying one, I love the car and the price is right for a second car used mostly for driving 2 miles to the city or commuting 13 miles each day. Doesn't hurt that it looks great in white with sunroof either.

I've been an //M fanatic for as long as I can remember, but after spending a week with one of these (as well as an S63), AMG is all I can think of...

I respect them as luxury bruisers, but I'm still in my sports car years and AMG loses out for their insistence on auotmatics in even the SLK and SL. I really liked the SLK55 when I was roadster shopping.

^ I'm a sports car guy as well, but some cars/engines are simply better suited to an automatic transmission as opposed to a traditional manual. I couldn't imagine what the C63 would be like with a clutch, but I suspect it wouldn't be all that.

^Maybe. One burgeoning problem is more and more cars are being geared for computered-controlled paddleshifters, both autos and dual clutches - with lots more gears, and gearing ratios are based on those rather than manuals. Then the option is don't offer a manual, or offer one that won't perform as well because you're using 5 or 6 gears on a trans built for 7 or 8, or with the wrong final drive ratio (cough*M5/M6*cough). I suspect this sort of thing is why Ferrari is dropping manuals on all new cars.

I saw one over the weekend and had the same reaction. I used to really like this car, especially the V12 model, but when I see them now, I don't find myself lusting for it as I once did. It's aged poorly, IMO.
