Haha, yeah well. I don't think we ever actually agree on anything, so it stands to reason.

I was once walking around Ogikubo in Tokyo, looking for Spoon Sports (Honda fan boy days) and next to Spoon is one of those Japanese used car dealers that deals in European 'complete' tuner cars, they had a gaggle of Alpina BMWs of various ages, dating back to like a first-generation 5-series biturbo, which are among the rare tuner cars that actually still look good over time.... but they were definitely not moving many of the huge widebody twin turbo Koenig MB's and Ferraris they had, which are pretty much akin to that Lister - because they're flat out ugly and a shame.

Well, like I said. I don't know who Koenig is, but of course I know Alpina. What do you like? Post some pics, hmmm?

I like most (or a lot) of the cars in this thread. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would honestly consider murder for the first 3 cars zjp83 posted. Now that the blue Miura has been posted, this thread doesn't really need a lot more, but if I could add a car that hasn't been posted yet, I like the Isuzu 117 Coupe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_117_Coupe Beyond what wikipedia says, this car has a nice little history around it, pre-GM deal, kind of heartwarming to know all of what went down for this car. It's kind of comparable to a Fiat 124 Sport coupe I guess, but I think the 117 would be nicer to have, especially a handbuilt one. I've always though the trunklid was interesting:

yahoo! japan used cars is pretty fun to click away on, even if you can't read Japanese. It's not terribly hard to figure out. Also pretty surprising when you do figure it out, because they have all of the 'good' models, and a lot of the older cars are surprisingly cheap, for what they are - a ton of awesome all-original low-mileage cars of different ages. 25 years and older and you can bring it to America as a 'vintage' exemption. http://ucar.autos.yahoo.co.jp/

I really like this generation of the SL. A neighbor has one that I admire every time I see it.
