Yeah. It's weird that skinny people who probably don't even really have to watch their weight are the ones practicing moderation. People find it strange that me loving food so much while always eating sensibly in terms of my portions is funny. It could be a bit of a chicken and the egg argument but frankly I don't think self control is that hard.

Calories consumed < calories burned, the best thing ever for weight loss.

^ kinda sum's it all up. what I do know for a fact is that tea (in fact, hot water in your tummy) reduces hunger for a short while. Therefor, drinking a hot cup of water (or a cup of tea) before eating dinner/food helps you from eating too much. Which of course helps with the by javyn written down formula "Calories consumed < calories burned". Just keep in mind that you NEED calories every day for the bodies normal functions.

I drink tea because it's delicious and cool, not to keep my skinny Finest Russian Caravan blend from uptontea.com for the win!

I have "heard" that green tea is good for weight loss (just plain green tea, no flavoring), but again this is not something I'm sure of.

I don't know how green tea could be any better for weight loss than black tea. And people take this antioxidant shit way out of hand. Green tea has more than black, but it's marginal, so drink whichever you enjoy more as far as that goes.

I guess tea can be good for weight loss if you steep it really long and let that tannic acid build up, drink it on an empty stomach so it messes it up making you too nauseated to eat.

my aunt drank like 20 cups a day and smoked constantly and she was skinny until the day she died of a heart attack.

too much teabagging would ruin an appetite enough to lose weight.

Usually why thin/in shape people are the way they are and not slightly overweight like most of america. I love bad food and often eat poorly (sometimes big portions too) but that's the exception that i allow myself. I generally eat sensibly calorie/fat wise (not always best "health" stuff though) and try not to waste calories on stupid shit like bad cake at office parties, crappy bagels/muffins because they're free, drink diet soda or coffee/tea without putting tons of sugar and halfnhalf, etc... If you do that from the age of 16-18 you probably won't have to go on a lose 25lb diet like most people.

But yea, i do what you do a lot as well. If i have a day off or have 4-6hours of doing nothing around my apt, i generally want to eat but it's mostly a boredom/oral fixation kinda thing. Sometimes i'm hungry but it's more because i think i should be eating rather than my body needing food direly. Usually i drink coffee/tea/diet soda instead just to have something to hold in my hand and ingest. Usually that's what i'm craving most and it definitely helps curb bad snacking like eating chips or a bunch of cereal that most people do in similar situations.

If most people had those kind of good eating habits in place since early adulthood like you they more than likely would not be overweight. I get asked the same "how do you stay skinny but love good food/spirits/etc... and i don't often get into it but it's not that hard and it's not just because i'm lucky for sure

Just use bronkaid and caffeine pills, I managed to drop 30+ pounds from mid 190s to low 160s within a few months while preserving most strength and muscle mass.
