kind-u has this ss12 lemaire jacket for a crazy low price, size 2 (46). it's quite nice in person, promise

^Was thinking about picking it up, as the styling photo looks better than the posting, but measurements seem to indicate it's quite oversized. 20.8" p2p and 17.7" shoulders would seem more like a 48

Yeah, it's more like a "big 46". Dunno why, but it fits a bit trimmer than the measurements suggest

OK I have zero exp with kickstarter so any advice on this is fine too. I saw this listing and for the price they seem freaking awesome but not sure exactly what I might be missing. The price point seems almost too good for Horween leather. (the workboots look pretty awesome)  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/912108680/malvin-joyce-premium-100-american-made-boots?ref=footer#project_faq_82571

Quick summary of the items they seem to be a collaboration with http://www.williamrogueandco.com/collections/collaborations

looks like a company trying to raise funds via kickstarted and selling their items at a deep discount to attract buyers.
no idea how boots will turn out and quality.

ya I am trying to look for holes in construction. Is there such a thing as bad "horween leather"?

good year welted is a plus too.

What am i missing? is there a short cut that could drop the price to such a low level that I am missing? sole construction?

There has been discussion on it in many other forums. I would not do it if I were you. Only after people started calling and asking for explanation with evidence (images and video are grabbed from online vendors of Thorogood) did they admit that they are working with Thorogood. Getting sick of shady Kickstarter start ups using patriotic theme to grab money from customers.

spot blown. was hoping to sell enough for the adequate funds before it sells. i'm sure it'll sell soon as it looks awesome at a good price.

Semi off topic, but VA sizing totally confuses me. I thought a 3 was a "big 46" like Attachment or Devoa until I kept seeing size 2s whose measurements seemed to work well for me. Bah
post #10605 of 11718
3 in Attachment is 48 and it's pretty consistent in my experience. I've handled about 8 pieces and they are all size 3 and fit like a 48 except for a knit which is more like a 50 and a shirt that is like a slim 48.
