What happens if you do not pay for repairs resulting from incidental damage on a rental car? Credit score hit? Litigation? Thanks in advance.

You cannot rent, from the company again and they will send, it for the agent of, collections .

Hypothetically,

I got a notice for $1,400. Hypothetically, I also want to know if they will share the information with other rental agencies. Also if there will be a credit score hit. Litigation I am not worried about and I can handle collections agents.

I will hypothetically end up paying, but I just want to know the real consequences.

Depending on the company they can just charge your cc that you used to rent the vechicle (assuming they told you that there was damage when it was returned).

most companies send a bill and initiate litigation if necessary but never heard of sending it to collections.

Hypothetically of course.
