Any neapolitan pizza fans?

Thought some of you might enjoy this article from Lexus Magazine (who I do some work with) about Neapolitan pizza - which in my opinion is the way pizza should be made. It's got a list of the best Neopolitan pizza restaurants in the U.S., including 2Amy's in D.C. which is right around where I live. It's definitely the best pizza I've ever had. Anyone been to any of the places that they recommend?

Coincidence, I just had a wood-oven margherita locally a few days ago from an authentic italian pizza oven. The restaurant actually flew in an italian pizza maker to teach the staff how to do it properly.

Gran Gusto in Cambridge, which is in the article, is quite good.

Some interesting Neapolitan pasta dishes as well.

I'm a fan of the simple Margherita pizza. Simple is good, simple is best.

When in NYC I always try to hit up one of the authentic places.

+1. Paradiso is fantastic. Try his fine dining restaurant, Obelisk, for really fantastic dinner. Then again, I've never been to 2Amy's, I gave up after eating at Paradiso. In NYC, I get my pizza from Luzzo's as recommended by Mr. Ambrosi (and they'll deliver to my door, nice)

Mr ambrosi believes that the best Neapolitan pizza in the us is in San francisco, and his cousin concurs. I suspect it was the brilliant company, though.

totally the company. Did una pizza napoletana open in SF yet? It was a good place in NYC, but the prices were pretty ridiculous. I rarely at there because of it.

Luzzo's pizza is good, but what I ate in San Francisco is perfect ...

I could almost feel in Naples, were it not for the waiter who spoke English only really thought I would be in Naples

Really? As far as the pizza goes, no way in my book. 2 Amys Margherita is the real deal. Paradiso is just a pretender.

As far as the dining experience, 2 amys sucks balls (more kids than a Chuckeecheez, waiting time never under 30 minutes) and Paradiso has a far better beer list. So there are plenty of times where I would prefer to go to Paradiso...

DC pizza is no match for other cities, though.

I thought 2 Amy's was pretty forgettable, so maybe I've not acquired the neapolitan taste yet. As for regular pizza, the little italian places along Main Line philly make the best imo.

Nella Pizzeria Napoletana (near Frank's, actually - North Clark Street just north of Fullerton) - the chef/owner was formerly the original pizzaiola at Spacca.

So which place in SF? I live near Delfina, and that isn't bad, but not perfect. I've heard good things about Flour+Water.

The regular pizza here in California is pretty terrible though.
